flash Reader

didn't know where to post this but here it is.
Just received my flash reader. I have several Tajima DC1212 models and wanted to try one before I purchased more.
when I hook up the flash reader I set up to send the design, it only grabs about 12 stitches after I hit the data set. and doesn't accept the whole design i have tried other designs and it does the same thing. Need to figure out what i am doing wrong.
I am saving the design as a .dst on the usb. i can see the design on the flash reader. I go to the panel (1) for Tajima go over to the data set column (2) set.It starts to grab the data off the usb then double beeps and stops like it is accepting the data but on the flash reader it shows 0012 of a 3500 stitch design.
