Can Mad Punch do the same as Embird? Like Cross Stitch, allow easy and fast creation of multicolored portraits and other designs from photos, auto-tracing, freehand, conversion of vector files into embroidery, Integrated Sew Simulator allows to simulate sewing of whole design or just selection in a normal, 3D or flat view mode, fills with multiple motifs?

Most everything you mentioned, the software will do.

However, as for vector conversions, etc - no.
Why? Vector processing into embroidery is very far from perfected. The percentage of final embroidery digizitizing that is done and sold compared to the vectorization sold on actual garments is overwelming. In fact designs from vector, “auto-tracing”, conversions, photos, etc are rarly sold due to the poor quality. Almost anything and everything you seen has been done by professional digitizers.
In the meantime, rather than venturing out into these teritories, our develpoer have been working on other avenues that are still pertinate to helping the customers businesses and not just “bells-and-whistles”.
